FOR A RETROSPECTIVE ART EXHIBITION ON FEBRUARY 16TH, 2013.

Though Joseph Arthur’s first passion is the visual arts, he is better known for his musical talents after being discovered by Peter Gabriel in the mid-nineties. "When he was starting fifteen years ago, I was struck by the strength and visceral quality of Jo's paintings. They seem to connect to Expressionism, Art Brut, Basquiat and the Graffiti movement. I remember encouraging him to take the painting seriously and it has been great to watch its evolution. Jo is a really unusual, interesting and talented artist in music and art". – Peter Gabriel
The Navarro Residence was established in 2012, with
the purpose of offering a non-traditional exhibition space that promotes an
atmosphere of experimentation via a personally curated art collection; along
with an interactive opportunity for guests to experience what it is like
“living with art.” Curator/Collector Navarro purchased her first piece of art
in 2009. In addition to being an avid collector, she is also a television
producer. Navarro’s collection also includes original works by: Cristian
"SMEAR" Gheorghiu, Gregory Siff, Scott Michael Ackerman, Herakut,
TMNK (The Me Nobody Knows), Evo Soria JR., Brady Smith, Leba, Neal Crosbie,
Patrick Haemmerlein, David Hinnebusch, Bert Esenherz, K H Number Seven, and
many more.
