January 21, 2014 (Los Angeles, CA) -- For approximately 4 decades, Harry Langdon (Jr.) has been preserving moments in time with his camera, living and working by the credo "Each photo session is a new creative adventure that cannot be compared with any other art form." Because of this belief, his clients come from around the world to have him photograph them. "They are some of the most beautiful and influential people in the various fields of entertainment, business, religion, politics, royalty, sports, advertising and the printed page."

Interesting Fact:
Harry’s Movie star father was one of the
original 1,500 Stars placed on the iconic sidewalk,
known as the Hollywood Walk of Fame!

Harry was born in Hollywood, CA and is only son of Harry Langdon (Sr.), one of the pioneering Silent Screen stars and a very funny comedian. "The love of the theater is in my blood as well. As a young kid, I used to visit my dad on sound stages and really enjoyed the behind the scenes activity as the crew would build sets and ready the cameras to enable the actors to perform. This is what drove me to the creative set design that I incorporate in my work. My subjects like a environment or stage to perform in, real or perhaps imaginary." Because of his uncanny ability to modernize the lighting styles and angles of that time, and the design techniques he learned growing up on silent film sets, his photographs are instantly recognizable. He invented a look that can not be duplicated, that is unlike any other, creating imagery that is true, 100%, authentic Hollywood.

He has shot in film for most of his career, switching to digital this past decade. "This is a huge asset in that we photographers can see immediately our creative work, allowing to not only email images the same day, but retouch readily. This transition has been a motivating force that has opened up new ways to be creative and make people look even better. Plus, along with the advent of Digital Photography came Adobe® Photoshop®, which has helped me enormously improve the retouching process here at the Studio."

Today, Harry's 1970-1990's archive includes 100's of 1'000's of film slides and original negatives, in addition to finished work in the form of album, magazine, book, and cd covers, promotional posters, advertisements in numerous international publications, news and editorial fashion campaigns, and reels upon reels of film footage from various entertainment shows that would visit his studio on a regular basis and film him working his magic on such tv sitcom, music, and film stars as, Jacqueline Smith, John Candy, Suzanne Somers, and Curtis Mayfield, to name a few. This footage would later become part of the nightly tv broadcast segment.
